Calm, private discussion
Fear and worry are heard without judgement.
A colleague said someone has 'charmed' you, and now you wonder
You mentioned at lunch that you had been tired and unlucky lately. A colleague, quite seriously, said it sounded as though someone had gone to a bomoh, and offered the number of a medium in Geylang. Another suggested a temple in Little India. You laughed. That night, in your flat in Sengkang, the idea did not seem so funny.

Fear and worry are heard without judgement.
We separate genuine concerns from ordinary stress or health.
Guidance on prayer and protection from anywhere.
Only protective and peaceful remedies are advised.
An Indian expatriate, new to Singapore, hears from Malay, Chinese and Tamil colleagues three different accounts of how a person might be charmed and three different cures. Each sounds convinced. She begins noticing small misfortunes she would normally ignore.
Nearly every culture in the region has a tradition of harmful charms and of specialists who lift them. Hearing the same idea from several directions makes it seem more credible than hearing it once. It is still the same idea, and tiredness and a bad month have the same ordinary causes they always had.
A consultation helps you look at what has actually been going wrong. A prayer from your own tradition can be suggested for peace of mind. We do not tell anyone they have been charmed, and promise no change of luck.
Tiredness, small setbacks. Each with its likely cause.
Repetition by people you like, in a new place.
Health, rest, and a practice of your own if you wish.
And for how long you have felt tired. The main service page explains the arrangements.
How the consultation worksEach will find something. It multiplies worry and cost.
See a doctor. A simple blood test may explain it.
Suspicion sours friendships for no reason.
If the tiredness has lasted more than a few weeks, see a GP. Anaemia, thyroid problems, poor sleep and the stress of relocation are common and easily checked. Look at your hours and whether you are taking leave.
Tell your colleagues you appreciate their concern and will see how things go. You need not visit anyone. If you would like a sense of protection, pray as you would at home, or visit a temple you feel at ease in and simply offer a lamp. Let a month pass. Luck evens out, and the thought loses its hold when it is not fed. If you still feel uneasy after a month, talk it over with someone from your own background whom you trust; a familiar voice often settles what a stranger's warning stirred up.
The session is online and can be joined from Singapore in the evening. We keep it calm. Birth details are for a reading only.
We do not believe so. Tiredness and a run of small setbacks have ordinary causes.
It is a common belief in many communities here. Sincerity is not evidence.
We would not. It tends to create a problem where there was none.
Yes, a simple one from your own tradition is sufficient.
