Calm, private discussion
Fear and worry are heard without judgement.
Madam's child fell sick, and now the household looks at you differently
You have cared for their children for two years. Last month the little one had a fever that would not go, and Madam found your prayer beads and a packet of herbs your mother sent for your stomach. Since then your room has been searched, your phone checked, and you have heard the word sihr. You are frightened of what may happen next.

A housemaid from Andhra Pradesh keeps a small picture of her deity and some turmeric in her bag. When her employer's business has trouble, a relative of the family points to these. She is locked in her room while they decide what to do.

If asked, explain plainly and politely: these are for my prayers; this was medicine for my stomach. Offer to throw away anything that worries them. Do not argue or show anger. Continue to care for the children as before.
Memorise the number of your country's embassy in Kuwait and tell a relative at home what is happening. If you are confined, hurt, denied food or your phone, or told you will be reported, contact the embassy; most run a helpline and a shelter for domestic workers. Keep copies of your contract and civil ID if you can. You have done nothing wrong by praying. If you are allowed rest days, use them to keep in touch with friends from your country; a network outside the house is protection in itself.
The session is online, if you are able to join safely and privately. We listen in your language. Birth details are not needed.
No. But be discreet, since unfamiliar practices can be misunderstood.
Accusations of sorcery are taken seriously in the Gulf. Contact your embassy for advice and protection.
