Family matters kept private
Details about both families stay confidential.
Your parents were willing, until the astrologer said the charts do not match
It had gone better than you feared. Your parents met them, liked them, and asked for the jathagam. A week later the family astrologer shook his head: dosham, or too few porutham. Now your mother will not hear of it. In Chennai, where horoscope matching is taken seriously in many homes, this is a very particular obstacle.

Compatibility explained
Charts are compared in plain language, not just a score.
Remote consultation
Useful when the two of you live in different cities.
No forced outcomes
Guidance on timing and approach, without guarantees.
Consider a couple whose families had agreed in principle. The girl's chart is said to have sevvai dosham. The boy's mother, who had been warm, now speaks of risk to her son. The couple have known each other six years. The girl feels she is being rejected for the hour of her birth.
For parents who believe in it, matching is a way of protecting their child. They are not using it as an excuse; they are frightened. At the same time, readings vary between astrologers and traditions, and many classical texts describe exceptions and remedies. A single verdict is rarely the whole picture.
In a consultation we look at both charts carefully and explain what they show, including any cancellations and customary remedies, in plain terms. We do not tell you that a chart guarantees happiness or disaster, and we do not promise that parents will change their view.
Beyond a points score: the specific concern raised and how serious tradition considers it.
Recognised cancellations of a dosham and the pujas families customarily perform.
A respectful way to present a second opinion without attacking their belief.
Date, exact time and place of birth for each of you, and what the first astrologer said. The main service page describes the consultation.
How the consultation worksA second reading is reasonable and common.
Mocking their belief ends the discussion. Work within it.
No one is at fault for a birth time. Say so firmly and kindly.
Ask your parents exactly what was found: which dosham, which porutham were lacking. Then seek a careful second reading. Often there are mitigating factors, such as a similar feature in both charts, that the first reading did not weigh.
Take the findings to your parents respectfully: "We consulted again, and this is what was said." If a remedy is traditionally advised and your families would be comforted by it, there is no harm in doing it together. Remind them, gently, of the years you have already known each other, which is evidence of another kind. If they remain opposed, the decision is yours as adults, with all it entails.
The session is online and can be joined from Chennai with your parents present if you wish. Both charts are studied. Here, birth details are needed, since the charts are the subject.
Tradition lists several conditions under which it is considered cancelled or reduced. A full reading looks at these.
Customary pujas are performed for peace of mind and tradition. We do not promise that any remedy changes events.
That happens. It shows that matching involves interpretation, which is worth explaining to your parents.
That is your decision. A chart is one consideration; your knowledge of each other is another.
